Greentalk Goes Live for Wembley Park in North London

Greentalk’s first project for award-winning developer, Quintain, has gone live in the shape of Wembley Park Greentalk.

The solution for Quintain utilises many of Greentalk’s features previously deployed for local authority clients, such as Hounslow. Users can explore an interactive map of the 85 acre Wembley Park estate and discover the trees planted throughout the neighbourhood, while also finding out more about the area.

Wembley Park is the residential and commercial quarter centred around the iconic Wembley Stadium in north west London. The new neighbourhood will have nearly 6,000 homes alongside hotels, retail, offices and entertainment space when fully completed, alongside an exciting public realm including many hundred square metres of landscaped greenspace and over 1,000 trees.

While Wembley Park Greentalk is very much aimed at residents and visitors to Wembley Park, the backend management functions of Greentalk were equally important to Quintain. Through Greentalk, the landscape management team are able to locate, update and promote their trees and other green infrastructure assets.

Future plans

Over the coming months more features of Wembley Park Greentalk will be rolled out including:

  • Powerful asset  management tools – administrators can add, update, tag and move points of interest
  • Social features: public users will be able to register in order to use poi favouriting, tagging and sharing tools. The client will also be able to message register users via Greentalk alerting them to relevant initiatives and events
  • Curated routes: Greentalk will support pre-defined routes for users to explore, as well as enabling auto route-generation by users

For Greentalk, working in partnership with Quintain, a commercial client, has meant we have developed the platform into a solution for private sector developers and landscape custodians who may manage smaller areas than local authorities.

This has meant our offering has extended in two key areas: first, we have become more attuned to the branding requirements of a private sector enterprise, so our customisation options are now far more extensive than in previous deployments. Secondly, smaller landscape managers may not have a requirement for landscape-level asset management systems, so Greentalk is able to step into this role with more powerful data collection, management and analysis tools.
